About Me

About Me ❀

My academic and professional experiences have shaped the way I approach law: not as a fixed system, but as something constantly negotiated between institutions and the people they govern. As a research intern at KAPAL Perempuan, I worked on advocacy strategies grounded in feminist legal principles, contributing to policy analysis and engaging directly with communities to support gender-responsive legislation. This experience reinforced my interest in how law functions beyond formal doctrine, particularly in contexts where inequality shapes access to justice.

Alongside this, I founded the Butterfly Project, a youth-led initiative focused on expanding access to education for underserved communities. Through organising outreach programmes, fundraising efforts, and teaching initiatives, I became increasingly aware of the gap between legal rights in theory and their realisation in practice.

My work is also informed by experiences in research and analysis beyond law, including my time as a stockbroking intern, where I developed an understanding of financial systems and their broader economic implications. Together, these experiences have shaped a broader interest in how legal, economic, and social systems intersect.
